Inspired for Decades
Since 1947, Neokraft has established a reputation as a leading custom sign fabricator in Maine and throughout New England. Our company produced many iconic signs across Maine during the Golden Era of custom signs in the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. By the 1980s, custom signs had moved into the modern era, and Neokraft was there and ready.
Proven History
Throughout the years, we've worked with clients to breathe new life into classic signs in need of restoration, including the coordination efforts and skilled installation of the iconic " Time and Temperature" building in Portland's Old Port. In addition, we were particularly proud to be an integral part of the set for the HBO film "Empire Falls," which was filmed in Skowhegan, Maine. It included a number of our custom signs with a special focus on the Empire Grill. Each passing year, the Neokraft team continues to bring years of expertise, ingenuity and our Maine work ethic to each project as we grow and adapt to the community, state, and regional changes in the sign industry. For decades, our attention to detail and craftsmanship have been recognized by businesses, designers, hospitals, schools, colleges and retailers throughout Maine, the United States, and Canada. By staying abreast of new technologies, Neokraft has remained a leader in bringing our clients the quality, service and support required in a competitive market.
Concerned about Our Environment - We Recycle
Neokraft Signs is a significant consumer of raw materials. Even though we try to maximize each piece we use, there is still a considerable amount of unusable product left over when producing new signage. When we replace old, unwanted or damaged signs, we need to dispose of those products as well. Neokraft is mindful of this waste and firmly believes in recycling our resources and reducing landfill impact. We sell tons of various plastics, aluminum and steel scraps to recyclers every year.

Fluorescent lighting cannot be recycled and needs to be disposed of due to the small amount of mercury in each bulb. A recycling law with strict regulations has been imposed. For the past several years, when we have built new or retrofitted an old sign, we have only used LED lighting. Converting from fluorescent to LED makes our clients happy, as their signs are more energy efficient, easier to maintain, and reduce costs with no harmful UV.
